SDA CPA Group was formed in 2011 when Stanley Dean & Associates combined operations with Swindull & Company. Swindull & Company, P.C. was formed in 1993 by Lamar Swindull. Stanley Dean started Stanley Dean & Associates, P.C. in 2003. Stanley Dean & Associates was a winner of the "Bulldog 100” award as one of the fastest growing firms owned or operated by an alumni of the University of Georgia in both 2010 and 2011.

Stanley D. Dean, CPA

Stanley brings more than 20 years of experience as a CPA in the Atlanta area. With knowledge and expertise acquired from years of work with every business class from entrepreneurs to companies with millions of dollars in annual sales, Stanley has the business skills and leadership ability essential to helping clients manage accounting deadlines, implement payroll, prepare tax plans, and develop budget and cash-flow forecasts.

Stanley earned his BBA in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. Stanley worked for nearly five years in the tax department of the Atlanta office of Price Waterhouse. He then worked in the tax department of Schlumberger Industries in Norcross. Stanley left Schlumberger to start a tax department for Flexible Products Company – an employee owned chemical company with over $150 million in revenue with operations in several locations in the U.S. and Canada. Flexible Products Company was later purchased by Dow Chemical and Stanley continued to work with Dow to assist with the transition of the accounting and tax function to its headquarters in Midland, Michigan. After his term with Dow Chemical, Stanley started Stanley Dean & Associates in 2003.

Stanley is a CPA in Georgia, a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, a member of the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

At home, Stanley is married to his wife Kelly and has two young boys. Stanley enjoys college football, fishing and boating with his family. He is an active member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, GA.

Lamar E. Swindull, CPA

For the past 20-plus years, Lamar Swindull has been an accounting and tax professional, operating Swindull & Company. Prior to that time, Lamar spent over 25 years working in private industry. His experience also includes financial management and internal auditing, with different types of businesses including services, manufacturing, utilities, airlines and retail. Lamar has expertise in: auditing, acquisitions, budgeting, consulting, control evaluation, financial analysis, organization, planning, taxation, valuation and technical writing.

Lamar has assisted clients in setting up their own businesses including their accounting system using QuickBooks software. He has also been an instructor in QuickBooks training programs. Lamar has advised clients in taxation issues and has prepared corporation income tax returns as well as returns for subchapter S corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), and partnerships. Other tax preparation experience includes returns for estates, trusts, not for profit organizations and employment plans. He has also successfully represented clients through the IRS tax examination process.

Lamar is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and a Certified Internal Auditor. He has a degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. He is also a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and previously was a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Lamar and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Marble Hill, Georgia, have two married daughters and four grandchildren. Lamar and Mary Ann are active members of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Family in Jasper. They both sing in the choir and Lamar is a member of the Vestry, the Finance Committee and the Parish Growth Committee.

Bridget S. Patch, Manager

Bridget has been with the firm for over 11 years working primarily with small and medium sized businesses. She has helped provide services to a range of industries including retail stores, restaurants, construction, IT providers and more. Bridget is also in the QuickBooks Pro Advisor program and has assisted many clients in setting up their accounting system.

Bridget has her BBA in accounting and recently finished her Masters of Accountancy from Kennesaw State University. She plans to embark on earning her CPA soon. When she is not busy studying for the upcoming exams, Bridget is attempting to learn Muay Thai, trying new recipes in the kitchen or lounging by the pool.

Irma D. Lambert, Staff Accountant

Irma has been with the firm since September 2005. Irma has a BS in Accounting and over fifteen years of experience working in accounting. She has extensive experience with several accounting software systems and is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Irma is originally from the island of St. Kitts. She is married and the mother of two teenagers.


Valerie A. Hairston, Staff Accountant

Valerie joined the firm in 2010. She was educated at the College of Alameda and Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She has over 20 years of accounting experience. She worked in corporate America while living in California. After relocating to Georgia, she has worked for 2 national non-profit organizations. When not working, Valerie enjoys traveling, volunteering, cooking and photography.


Denise S. Yaun, Office Manager

Denise has been with the firm since December 2008 and serves as Administrative Assistant and Client Services Representative. With previous experience in commercial construction and transportation, she brings 20+ years of administrative experience. Her organization skills and attention to detail enables her to oversee the daily administrative functions to keep the firm running smoothly.

Additionally, she supports the accountants by collecting and scanning client data into the firm's paperless filing system. Working in the corporate environment for years, Denise enjoys the satisfaction of working with a company that assists small business owners to succeed.

Denise is a volunteer counselor with Grace Ministries International. Some of her favorite activities are cooking and baking for family and friends, reading a good novel and vacationing on the beach.

Kelly M. Dean, Marketing Director

Joining the firm in 2011, Kelly has 19 years in operations management in the forest products industry -- including investor/partner relationships, accounting, insurance, benefits and marketing. Kelly’s creativity will be well utilized in developing growth initiatives and marketing activities for the firm.

She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from the University of Georgia. Kelly serves on the board of the UGA Alumni Association as co-chair of the nominating committee and also is involved with the children’s ministry at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.

She is married and loves doing art projects and throwing the football with her two young sons.
